The (UC)LA Times Sports Page has published five front page color or black and white pictures of thirteen UCLA football players since August 2, 2012.
The Bruins that have graced page one are Tevin McDonald, Brett Hundley (twice), seven unidentified Bruins sitting in plastic trash cans, Kevin Prince, Jonathan Franklin and Cade McNown.
How many front page pictures of any USC football players have been on the (UC)LA Times Sports Page one since August 2, 2012?
NONE!
When will the bias for UCLA over USC ever end?

Cam Newton.... A Trojan?
USC started its football training camp this morning. (UC)LA Times reporter Gary Kleins's article, entitled "Potential hitches in USC's giddy-up" was published on the front page of the sports section. Next to the article, where, a color picture of Robert Woods should have been, was a large COLOR picture of Cam Newton!
Where was the picture of All-American Robert Woods? Buried (in black and white) on page C4.
Two days before the Bruins began their football training camp, the (UC)LA Times published a COLOR picture of Tevin McDonald (8/2/12) and then a COLOR picture of Brett Hundley (8/4/12) on the front page with their articles!

Her Name is Amy!
(UC)LA Times reporter Kevin Baxter wrote an article this morning about the USA Women's Olympic Soccer Team. The article entitled, "They seek a closing kick" was accompanied by a large color picture of three Olympic teammates. Mr. Baxter named one player as Amy LePeilbet and the other two as (unknown) teammates.
A reporter who works for a Los Angeles newspaper did not recognize nor identify a former, local collegiate star in his picture, who helped her university win its first NCAA Women's Soccer title!
The Olympic teammate in the middle of the color picture is Amy Rodriguez! She played soccer at USC in 2005-2008. Her 2007 team won the Pac-10's first women's soccer NCAA title! Amy won a Soccer Olympic Gold Medal in Beijing in 2008!
Why doesn't a (UC)LA Times reporter recognize a Los Angeles soccer star?
Because she is a Trojan, not a Bruin!

NCAA hammer doesn't nail it
(UC)LA Times reporter Chris Dufresne's title of his article this morning, "NCAA hammer doesn't nail it" is a misnomer. The NCAA did "NAIL" USC with extreme sanctions.....not befitting the infraction.
Mr. Dufresne actually displayed some sympathy (too little, too late) for the Trojans in his article when he wrote, "People at USC are left to think: So what Penn State did was only twice as bad as Reggie Bush's parents living rent-free in a condo?"
Why didn't the (UC)LA Times criticize the unfair extremity of the sanctions against USC two years ago?
They are anti-USC!

STRIKE THREE, You're OUT, (UC)LA Times!!!
Another lengthy article with a large headline written by reporter Gary Klein about the UCLA Baseball Team's victory last night over TCU, was published by the (UC)LA Times in this morning edition. I'm amazed that there was no picture!
So, the Bruins won their Super Regional. So, they are at least one of the top eight collegiate baseball teams in the nation this year. So What!
The USC Men's Tennis Team (2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012) and the USC Men's Water Polo Team (2008. 2009, 2010, and 2011) were FIRST in the nation for FOUR consecutive years when they both won four NCAA titles in a row! The (UC)LA Times never wrote any lengthy articles or published any pictures of the Trojan's amazing accomplishments.

STRIKE TWO on you, (UC)LA Times!!
Your beloved Bruins won the first game of their baseball super regional last night. They get a 5 x 4 inch picture and lengthy article written by Gary Klein. It's not even the College World Series yet!
USC's Men's Tennis Team won their fourth NCAA Team Title in a row on May 22, 2012. They never rated a single picture in four years in the (UC)LA Times!

STRIKE ONE on you, (UC)LA Times!
This morning's (UC)LA Times college baseball article by reporter Gary Klein is entitled, "UCLA's Brown delivers from all over the diamond." This one article about the Bruin Baseball Team is longer than all four "ETC." articles in total that the (UC)LA Times has written about USC over the span of four years. In those four years, the USC Men's Tennis Team has won four consecutive NCAA titles.
STRIKE ONE on you, (UC)LA Times for your continual BIAS for UCLA over USC!
When will they ever strike out?
