When will the (UC)LA times Bruin bias ever end?
Yesterday, Steve Springer wrote a somewhat complimentary article about former USC basketball player, O.J. Mayo. There was a small (1 inch x 14/16 inch) photo of O.J. that accompanied the article.
Today, the same Steve Springer wrote a complimentay article about former UCLA basketball player, Kevin Love. There was a large (3 1/2 inch x 3 14/16 inch) photo of Kevin that accompanied the article.
Consider the UCLA bias:
1. Is Kevin Love really 20 times better than O.J. Mayo? As the picture size discrepany conveys? (Not according to the NBA Draft)
2. Has Kevin Love been a "model citizen" also? Why was Mr. Springer compelled to describe O.J. as such and not Kevin? What law has O.J. broken?
3. Why is Love described as a "work in progress" while Mayo is criticized for his turnovers?
Lastly, O.J. Mayo was chosen to the "select team that will practice with the U.S. Olympic squad." Was Kevin Love chosen?
